Meet our sweet Maya!
She’s a 13 year old Pitbull that we picked up from our friends at Johnson County Animal Shelter on 4/27. She was an owner surrender due to the family moving and them not being able to take her with them.
Maya is very emaciated looking but she’s very sweet, seems happy, and doesn’t act like she’s been abused. Maya is getting along well with our other dogs. She is ready to eat breakfast each day, but eats slow and doesn’t act like she’s starving.
Maya got her nails trimmed today and was a very good girl. Thank you Catlynn Cunningham for coming to the sanctuary and cutting hers and the rest of our dogs nails.
We are taking Maya to the vet next week. Stay tuned!
